How to Easily Set Up Your First Course in High Level

Getting Started with High Level

Setting Up the Client Portal

In your High Level sub-account, the client portal must be your first setup. It’s crucial for course creation and doubles as a hub for your community, affiliate program, and billing management. If you're unsure about setting up the client portal, check out a video I made yesterday. The link will be in the description.

Navigating Courses and Memberships

Once inside the memberships area, you'll find the course dashboard, offering insights into opt-ins, members, sales, and more. Here, you'll start building your course by navigating through sections like offers, analytics, and settings.

Customizing Your Course

In the settings, link your domain, upload your logo, and decide if videos in your membership area should be downloadable. Email settings in the client portal allow sending automated welcome emails and notifications for your students.

You can also download the Kollab app, but I recommend our Progressive Web App (PWA) for a more streamlined course area.

Building Your Course

Within the products section, create your course. Start from scratch or import from platforms like Kajabi. You have multiple layout options like sprint or marathon courses. After naming your course, customize sections and add modules with video or audio content.

Use our editor to add custom code, text, or attach downloadable files. Organize content into categories, draft drip schedules, and manage course locks to control content visibility.

Designing and Theming

Customize your course's appearance in the advanced customizer. Choose from product or lesson layouts, adjust color themes, background images, and more. Add blocks such as videos, and tailor the sidebars to fit your educational journey.

Creating Offers and Automations

Offers grant access to your courses, and you can set these as free, one-time purchases, or recurring. Create offers that incorporate multiple courses or tailor them to specific audience needs. You can also duplicate or share courses across accounts.

Automate course access via workflows triggered by actions like form submissions. Integrate tagging, contact updates, and use our client portal magic link for seamless experience.
