Introduction to High Level Community Builder

If you’re not yet a High Level customer, don’t worry. You can visit our website, MyVisionAgency.com, and sign up for our free community. Today, I am going to walk you through using the High Level community builder. It’s a powerful tool that offers resources we’ll explore together.

Setting Up Your Community

Within High Level, you have the ability to create both entry-level (free) and paid communities. You can even add a switcher feature allowing for seamless transitions between these community types, depending on your needs. Customization options abound; you can create channels, post discussions complete with titles, gifs, images, videos, and more.

Features to Enhance Engagement

In addition to posting discussions, there’s a learning area perfect for courses, a membership list, an events schedule, and even a leaderboard to foster friendly competition. The about section lets you showcase your community story through videos, while custom links and private chats enhance the personalized experience for each member.

Integrating with the Client Portal

The community feature exists within the client portal. To give members full access, you must ensure they have access to the client portal itself. I’ll guide you through these automations shortly, but first, remember to add your custom branding – choose themes, create membership questions, and more.

Creating Your First Community

Let’s create a community from scratch. In High Level, navigate to the memberships tab, select to create a community or a group, and set up your branded app. This app can be white-labeled and shared on platforms like Google Play or the Apple Store under your brand. Alternatively, the Kollab app is a no-cost option for users.

When setting up, remember to add a domain as part of the client portal, as this is where the community feature resides.

Customization and Setting Up Automations

Once your community is set, head over to the automation workflows. Automations streamline the process of inviting members. Use forms and triggers to grant access, and send emails with magic links that permit immediate access upon using the link.

Email Settings and Permissions

Configure your emails to welcome new community members. You can opt for universal communications or tailor specific emails for particular communities depending on your setup.
