How I Streamline My Content Creation: A Step-by-Step Workflow Guide

January 28, 20252 min read

Hello everyone, Bridget Bartlett here! Today, I’m excited to share my entire workflow process with you. I’ll walk you through how I can go live, create content, and manage everything efficiently in just a few hours each day.

Introduction to My Workflow

The very first step in my workflow is pre-recording my live stream and restreaming it. I love doing this because it allows me to add a custom border to my videos. Once recorded, I easily edit the video in Descript, an incredible tool that lets me correct my transcripts and remove filler words seamlessly.

Editing with Descript

Descript is a platform I swear by for video editing. It enables edits directly on the transcript, which is fantastic for quick fixes and removing those pesky filler words. If I say "um" 500 times, Descript helps me cut all that out effortlessly, both from the transcript and the audio.

Publishing and Quality Control

After editing, the next step is publishing the video. I ensure to do it in the highest quality possible because that’s critical for professional content. While the video is exporting, I draft the YouTube description and include timestamps, which saves me from doing an extra step post-production.

Uploading and Scheduling

Once my video is downloaded, I upload it to different platforms, like our membership area and Restream. Setting up the playlist beforehand ensures a smooth streaming experience. I always include an intro video to account for any lag time when going live.

Automating Workflow with Zapier

With the help of Zapier, I automate many subsequent tasks. As soon as I add the video to a specific playlist, Zapier triggers various actions, like sending notifications and creating blog posts. This automation extends to sharing on multiple platforms, making the process very efficient.

Blogging and Creating Community Posts

Once the video is ready and scheduled, I create a blog post using the content directly from the video. This way, the blog is not only relevant but also a great resource for readers interested in the same topic. I post this on our communities to keep everyone engaged.

Final Touches

Adding a pinned comment with a call-to-action on YouTube ensures that viewers know how to join our community or get more content. I also create cards and end screens on the YouTube video for a more professional look. Post-livestream, I edit out unnecessary intro content to make the video more concise.

Conclusion

That is my workflow from start to finish. By streamlining the content creation process and using tools like Descript and Zapier, I efficiently manage my daily projects. If you're part of our community or the reseller program, you can join me for open office hours and discuss further.

Thanks for following along, and I hope this insight into my workflow helps you streamline your processes too. Don’t forget to join us in our community for more tips, and let’s make your vision a reality together.

See you tomorrow, same time, same place! Bye!
