Introducing the New Internal Team Chat: A High-Level Slack Alternative for Enhanced Collaboration
Hey everyone! I'm Bridget Bartlett from My Vision Agency, and I'm excited to share some fantastic news with you today. High Level has just released a groundbreaking internal chat feature for all Subaccounts, designed to replace Slack and streamline your team's communication. Let's dive into this new functionality and explore how it can make your life easier.
Getting Started with the New Internal Chat
When you open the conversations tab, you'll immediately notice a new option to start a conversation. Before diving into that, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the folders. The team inbox consolidates all the conversations flowing into your system, while the My inbox is personalized for the user logged into the subaccount.
Navigating to the team inbox reveals a straightforward view where you can filter by unread, recent, starred, or all messages. Assigned team members have access to all conversations pertinent to their role, including unread, recent, and starred ones.
Internal Chat: Your Team's New Hub
Moving on to the star of the show - the internal chat. This feature is crafted specifically for internal team communication, essentially serving as our very own Slack replacement. Within this chat, you'll find options for unread and all conversations, making it simple to keep track of discussions. You can also see all users and connect with them directly within the conversation tab, similar to Slack. Adding additional members to a chat is a breeze, as is editing the subject.
Starting Conversations
If you're ready to initiate a new conversation, take a look at the available options: direct message or group message. A direct message allows you to connect with an individual user, like Jane Doe. Simply type in her name, select her email, and voila, you're ready to chat.
For a group setting, you’ll need your SMS provider set to lead connector. Unfortunately, my current account isn’t connected, but with lead connector linked, you can effortlessly send a group text to engage in multi-contact discussions.
Now, when you select internal chat, you'll access a list of all subaccount users, making it easy to add team members to your chat. Unlike with group messages, you can't include external contacts, which ensures the chat remains exclusive to your team.
Notifications and Settings
To stay updated, ensure you adjust your notification preferences. Navigate to 'my profile' under settings while logged in as a subaccount user. Ensure notifications for being added to internal team chats are enabled.
If the internal team chat feature seems absent, head to settings, select labs, and toggle the Internal Team Collaboration option on. This feature is set to go live shortly, so if you're tuning in after its release, it will already be available in your conversations tab.
